A leader always pays close attention to the performance development of workforce. As per as my understanding concern, a leader should participate in organizational task rather than just leading the workforce. I believe that a leader should be communicative and should have the ability of problem solving. In other words, leaders should have the ability to reduce conflict within the workforce in order to maintain sustainable development (Aarons et al. 2015). The role of a leader is to set realistic goals in order to achieve overall organizational objectives. For instance, leader s should segregate the workforce based on their performance quality and expertise. Thereafter, they should allocate responsibilities according to the expertise of each individual employee for reducing their workload. Apart from that, leaders should consider employee satisfaction as the key factor in order to increase employee engagement (Henker, Sonnentag and Unger 2015). Increasing employee commitment is the major aspect, which a leader should consider as the key to success. Motivation is the most important factor, which influences the workforce to improve their performance. It is the sole responsibility of the leaders to implement effective motivational strategies for improving performance quality of employees (Deichmann and Stam 2015). Now, identifying the most effective motivational strategy is the most challenging task of a leader in which they needs to identify the appropriate motivational tool for each employee. For example, some employees can be motivated with financial interest and some others can be influenced by recognition tool (Huijun and Jianjun 2015). Moreover, enthusiasm is the most important leadership characteristic, which helps a leader to encourage the workforce in an effective manner. Leadership Experience I have different experiences in leadership activities in my college and other workplaces. I did masters in political science and masters in political accounting and apart from that, I did bachelor in business management. Therefore, I had been a part of the leadership live workshop in which I have presented my leadership skills to attract the employers. In this event, I was responsible for managing the entire event as a leader. Apart from that, I am a part of my own business and I am working as a manager. My responsibility is to manage the workforce, set objectives and enhance overall organizational performance. From this experience, I have earned a vast knowledge regarding employees needs and requirements within an organization. My previous experience, where I was performing as leader of the leadership workshop, helps me to learn how to achieve broad objective by creating short-term objectives. The organization I am running is a business consulting company in which employees are responsible for handling clients requirements to improve their business. Apart from that, they also help the clients to build new business in domestic and international market. Previously, I noticed that most of my employees were switching to other job due to low motivation. The employees were moving to other companies because of low salary hike. In order to improve the situation, I communicated with the workforce in order to understand their issues, which helps me to implement effective strategies for retaining the existing employees. However, the situation was under control within few months after identifying the issues. Reflection in leadership experience From my previous experience, I came to know that a leader should understand the needs and requirements of the followers in order to gain successive outcome. The workshop I have conducted helps me to learn the way a leader should set objectives and job allocation. From this experience, it can be said that leaders should understand priority of the activities before framing the objectives. However, this experience does not increase my knowledge regarding employee management. In my next experience, I learned the process of managing a workforce for achieving broad organizational objectives. In my organization, the workforce was not satisfied due to low salary hike. Therefore, I communicated with the workforce for understanding their actual expectation. While communicating with the employees, I came to know that monitory reason was the secondary option for the workforce. The major issues they were facing were low recognition for their work. Therefore, as a manager, I identified their abilities and based on their abilities I implemented some effective motivational tools such as incentive schemes and recognition strategy. Therefore, it can be said that a leader should be communicative in nature and should perform as per the employees behavior (Tremblay and Gibson 2016). The leadership theory I would like to introduce here is transformational leadership. This leadership approach helps me to communicate with my employees for understanding their behavioral approach. Every individual belongs from different cultural background and therefore, behavioral approach of every employee is different in nature. Transformational approach helps to communicate with every employee individually, which improve employee relationship in an effective manner (Johnston and Marshall 2016). However, Leaders with this attributes are lenient and therefore, employees can take advantage from this. Therefore, situational leadership is the most effective and globally acknowledged approach, which helps the leaders to change their approach according to the organizational situation. From my experiences, I have understood that people a leader should build the objectives as per the employees ability. Setting unrealistic goals can affect employee motivation negatively, which can further affect overall organizational performance negatively. The employees in my organization were quitting the organization due to low salary hike. It means, employee motivation was the major issue for which the employees were decided to leave their current job. The activities, which I had short-listed for handling that situation was aiming towards employee motivation and relation as well. I have handled this situation by enhancing employee wages along with introducing some lucrative incentive scheme. From this incident, I have understood that a leader should have clear understanding regarding the employees needs and requirements in order to increase employee retention. This strategy is effective for achieving long-term objectives. On the other hand, in order to achieve short-term objectives, it is highly important to implement autocratic leadership approach in which leaders can punish or reward the workforce for achieving or not achieving the organizational objectives. Implementing this particular approach for long-term process can reduce sa tisfaction level of the employees; those are non-efficient and going through a training process (Boehm et al. 2015). Autocratic leadership is only effective for the experienced employees those can perform accordingly to the organizational requirements. I believe that communication is the key factor, which helps leaders to improve organizational environment in an effective manner. Apart from that, leaders should focus on training and development in order to improve performance of the workforce (Muenjohn and Armstrong 2015). It should be the main objective of the leaders to monitor performance quality of the workforce for maintaining a long-term sustainability. Evaluation of leadership theory and self-abilities There is different leadership theories have been introduced by different authors such as autocratic, transformational, transactional and democratic. According to my leadership trait and behavior, I believe that a leader should communicative and transparent in nature. The leader should share the organizational objectives with the followers for improving employees understanding regarding what they are doing (Aarons et al. 2015). The transformational leadership approach suggests that leaders with this particular approach pay close attention to organizational change. Now, in order to implement change, these leaders try to identify the current organizational situation. Depending on the current situation, transformational leaders implement change in order to improve the overall process (Henker, Sonnentag and Unger 2015). As per the situation described before, employees in my organization were facing difficulties due to low wages. It means motivation was the factor, which was influencing th e workforce to change their job. As I am the manager, it was my responsibility to communicate with the employees for understanding their issues. Thus, it can be said that my leadership trait is similar with the transformational leadership approach. On the other hand, transformational leadership approach suggests that a leader should motivate the workforce for improving employee satisfaction level. Similarly, I have implemented many motivational strategies for improving employee satisfaction level. Democratic leadership approach is another leadership trait in which leaders take others viewpoint before taking the final decision. In this leadership approach, employees are allowed to give their valuable feedbacks in order to improve the decision even better (Deichmann and Stam 2015). However, this approach increases the chance of organizational conflict, because different employee can have different viewpoints. Therefore, democratic leaders should have the ability to handle conflict within organization. While managing the critical situation in my organization, I take suggestions from the workforce for making the final decision. It helps me to understand the probable procedures of solving the potential issues. However, there was no confliction within the workforce because all employees were facing issue of low wages (Huijun and Jianjun 2015). I believe that it is highly important to seek innovative ideas in order to improve organizational performance. Ral Leoni fue abogado y poltico venezolano, fue electo presidente de la Repblica de Venezuela en 1964 hasta 1969. A los 16 aos estuvo preso en la crcel de Rotunda por participar en la lucha estudiantil. Curs sus estudios de derecho en la Universidad Central donde alcanz la presidencia de la Federacin de Estudiantes de Venezuela y encabez las protestas de 1928 contra e rgimen de Juan Vicente Gmez, por sta razn tuvo que irse en 1928 de Venezuela a Colombia para un largo exilio, hasta 1936. Una vez muerto Gmez, regres Leoni a Venezuela, participando desde su llagada en las actividades de los sectores polticos de izquierda. En 1937 fue expulsado del pas junto a otros dirigentes polticos. Se dirigi a Colombia, donde continu sus estudios hasta graduarse en Derecho y Ciencias Sociales en la Universidad de Bogot. En Junio de 1939 regres a Venezuela para incorporarse a la actividad clandestina del Partido Democrtic o Nacional (PDN). En 1941 particip en la fundacin del partido centrista Accin Democrtica, liderado por Rmulo Betancourt. Tras la revolucin de 1945 que derroc a Isaas Medina Angarita, a Leoni fue ministro de trabajo durante el gobierno de Rmulo Gallegos desde 1945 hasta 1948. En 1948 tuvo que exiliarse de nuevo por el golpe militar que derroc a Rmulo Gallegos y no pudo volver hasta que termin la dictadura de Marcos Prez Jimnez en 1958. El 1 de Diciembre de ese 1963 fue elegido presidente de la Repblica e inici su mandato en Marzo de 1964, continuando con la poltica econmica y social de su predecesor y maestro Rmulo Betancourt. Durante su gobierno tuvo que hacer frente a la intensificacin de la actividad guerrillera del FALN (Fuerzas Armadas de Liberacin Nacional), por lo que firm con el presidente colombiano Guillermo Len Valencia el pacto antiguerrillero de Ro Arauca en el ao 1966. Al siguiente ao en 1967 tuvo que suspender las garantas constitucionales y su partido sufri una divisi n que dio origen a un nuevo partido llamado MEP (Movimiento Electoral del Pueblo). Tips for Writing 5 Types of Sports Stories Getting a handle on sportswriting can be daunting because there are so many different kinds of stories that can be done. For the aspiring sportswriter, these are some of the main types. The Straight-Lede Game Story The straight-lede game story is the most basic story in all of sportswriting. Its just what it sounds like: an article about a game that uses a straight-news type of lede. The lede summarizes the main points- who won, who lost, the score, and what the star player did. Heres an example of this kind of lede: Quarterback Pete Faust threw three touchdown passes to lead the Jefferson High School Eagles to a 21-7 victory over crosstown rival McKinley High. The rest of the story follows from there, with an account of the big plays and playmakers, and after-game quotes from coaches and players. Because they often focus on high school and small-college teams, straight-lede game stories tend to be fairly tightly written. Straight-lede game stories are still used for coverage of high school and some college sports. But theyre used less nowadays for pro sports. Why? Because pro sports are seen on TV and most fans of a particular team know the score of a game long before they read about it. The Feature-Lede Game Story Feature-lede game stories are common for pro sports. Readers usually already know the score of pro games as soon as theyre done, so when they pick up a sports section they want stories that offer a different angle on what happened and why. Heres an example of a game story feature lede: It had rained all that day in the city of brotherly love, so when the Philadelphia Eagles took the field the ground was already a soggy mess- much like the game that would follow. So it was somehow fitting that the Eagles would lose 31-7 to the Dallas Cowboys in a contest that was one of the worst of quarterback Donovan McNabbs career. McNabb threw two interceptions and fumbled the ball three times. The story starts out with some description and doesnt get to the final score until the second paragraph. Again, thats fine: readers will already know the score. Its the writers job to give them something more. Delayed-lede game stories tend to be a bit more in-depth that straight-lede stories, and as a result are often longer. Profiles The sports world is full of colorful characters, so its no surprise that personality profiles are a staple of sportswriting. Whether its a charismatic coach or a young athlete on the rise, some of the best profiles anywhere are found in sports sections. Heres an example of a profile lede: Norman Dale surveys the court as his players practice layups. A pained look crosses the face of the coach of the McKinley High School basketball team as one player after another misses the basket. Again! he shouts. Again! You dont stop! You dont quit! You work till you get it right! And so they continue until they start to get it right. Coach Dale wouldnt have it any other way. Season Preview and Wrap-Up Stories Season previews and wrap-ups are fixtures of the sportswriters repertoire. These are done any time a team and a coach are preparing for the coming season, or when the season has just ended, either in glory or infamy. Obviously, the focus here isnt a specific game or even individual, but a broad look at the season- how the coach and players expect things to go, or how they feel once that season is done. Heres an example of a lede for this kind of story: Coach Jenna Johnson has high hopes for the Pennwood High School womens basketball team this year. After all, the Lions were city champions last year, led by the play of Juanita Ramirez, who returns to the team this year as a senior. We expect great things from her, Coach Johnson says. Columns A column is where the sportswriter gets to vent his or her opinions, and the best sports columnists do just that, fearlessly. Often that means being very tough on coaches, players or teams who dont meet expectations, particularly at the pro level, where all concerned are being paid huge salaries to do just one thing- win. But sports columnists also focus on those they admire, whether its an inspirational coach who leads a team of underdogs to a great season, or a mostly unheralded player who may be short on natural talent but makes up for it with hard work and unselfish play. Heres an example of how a sports column might begin: Lamont Wilson certainly isnt the tallest player on the McKinley High School basketball team. At 5-foot-9, hes hard to spot in the sea of mid 6-footers on the court. But Wilson is the model of an unselfish team player, the kind of athlete who makes those around him shine. Clemons Blacks in the Revolutionary War2 Looking back at the history of the United States, it is evident that the Revolutionary War impacted the country a great deal. It was the first war fought with slaves thanks to Lord Dunmoreââ¬â¢s controversial proclamation. Historian Benjamin Quarles stated ââ¬Å"The Negros role in the Revolutionary War can be best understood by realizing his major loyalty was not to a place nor to a people but to a principle. There were black loyalists, black sailors, black patriots and black regiments who fought and died in the name of Independence. It has been estimated that over 5,000 African Americans served as soldiers for the Continental army and more than 20,000 fought for the British cause. Slavery in Colonial America is noted to have begun in 1619 with the arrival of 20 African slaves on the Dutch ship named Man-of-war. The slaves made up over half the population in the colonies although they were seen more so as property instead of people. In 1776, there were about 500,000 African American men, women and children slaves. Everyone had a reason for taking part in the war. There were factors that motivated the blacks to take part in such a battle as well. The text mentions that when it came to fighting between the Patriots on one side and their Loyalist American allies on the other, African Americans joined the side that offered freedom. Having that choice of gaining freedom in exchange for serving in the military was indeed motivation. Other motives for blacks were the Blacks in the Revolutionary War3 desire for adventure, belief in the justice and the goals of the revolution and the possibility of receiving a bounty. The Continental navy and The Royal Navy signed blacks into the navy because of the manpower shortages at sea. Some blacks had been captured from the royal navy and used by the Patriots on their vessels. They also served as seamen on British vessel. Slaves and free slaves served as seaman. Because so many Patriot leaders resisted employing black troops, by mid-1775, the British had taken the initiative in recruiting African Americans. Revolutionary leaders feared using blacks in the arm forces. They were afraid that the slaves who were armed would uprise against them. In May 1775 the Massachusetts Committee of Safety put a stop to enlisting slaves in the armies of the colony. However, this did not apply to the blacks who were already serving in the army. 1775-1783 the navy recruits freed black slaves and runaway slaves. Lord Dunmore, born John Murray, was the last Royal Governor of Virginia. Because he was short of men, Dunmore issued a proclamation stating that all able bodied men to assist him in the defense of the colony, including the slaves of rebels. He promised freedom to the blacks who served. After doing so in a month he had 800 soldiers. The purpose of his Proclamation was to declare martial law and to encourage slaves of rebels in Virginia to leave their masters and support the loyalist cause ââ¬Å"All indentured servants, Negroes, or othersâ⬠¦free that are able Blacks in the Revolutionary War4 and willing to bear armsâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ Such an act outrage Virginians. Those that took Dunmore up on his word range between 800 and 2,000. The Virginia Congress replied to his Proclamation with the Dunmoreââ¬â¢s wasnââ¬â¢t as successful as his plan out, the number of his soldiers decreased due to smallpox outbreaks. Dunmoreââ¬â¢s Proclamation was the first mass emancipation of slaves in American history. After the war ended, over 5,000 blacks left for Jamaica or St. Augustine because they were the property of loyalist that they would never gain their freedom from slavery. By 1786, many were back in bondage. There were those who were Patriotsââ¬â¢ slaves but sided with the British were promised their freedom and was granted such. Many black patriots found that the post war military held no rewards for them. So many men served in the armed forces which meant that their wives were left behind and had to take on their husband roles. Their lives changed a great deal during the Revolutionary War. The women, who could, serve the Colonial military forces and interacted with the male soldiers in camp. They were usually the wives and daughters of the male soldiers. The cooked, did laundry and cared for those that were sick. There also some who fought in the military battles: Margaret Cochran Corbin and Captain Molly. Molloyââ¬â¢s husband had taught her how to load and fire cannons. Black women, many of whom were slaves, served both Americans and the British in the capacity of nurses, laundresses and cooks. Blacks in the Revolutionary War5 Many African American soldiers fought and died for the sake of the Revolutionary War. The war ended in 1783, slavery was dying in the North and declining in Chesapeake. What was truly the purpose of Blacks fighting if they did not attain freedom at the end of the war? Compare ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢ with one other poem, to show how the poets use people to explain the conflict that can exist between and within different cultures. People are at the centre all communities. They embody the values, customers and ideas that particular culture possesses. By examining how people behave and think, it is possible to gain a greater understanding of how their cultural roots affect them. ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢ describes how an immigrant in London reacts to his environment as he dreams of his Caribbean home. In contrast, the people in ââ¬ËTwo Scavengersâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬â¢ all live in San Francisco, but lead totally different lives there. ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢ uses structure to show the conflicting and confused waking thoughts of the man. There is no punctuation, the line lengths vary and some phrases are totally misplaced, as is the individual: ââ¬Å"he always comes back groggily groggilyâ⬠. Like ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢, ââ¬ËTwo Scavengersâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬â¢ also has no punctuation. It represents an instant in time, like the flash of a camera. The conflicting images seem to be laid one on top of the other, line by line, emphasising the contrasts between the two lifestyles. The language in ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢ shows the inner turmoil that the character is going through. The reader gets a series of contrasting images. For example, ââ¬Å"the sound of the blue surfâ⬠of the Caribbean conflicts with, the ââ¬Å"grey metallic soarâ⬠of London. The ââ¬Å"pillow wavesâ⬠show the troubled sleep he has had which has caused the ruffles, but also tells of the dreams he has had of his ââ¬Å"emerald islandâ⬠. The word ââ¬Å"wombingâ⬠suggests the sense of security his homeland offers him, in contrast to the faceless ââ¬Å"dull North Circular roarâ⬠of London. Contrast is also used in ââ¬ËTwo Scavengersâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬â¢, but here it is the contrast of the different types of people: the woman is ââ¬Å"casually coifedâ⬠, the older man is ââ¬Å"grungyâ⬠. Although the young menââ¬â¢s hair and glasses are similar, their appearances are mostly very different; the ââ¬Å"hip three-piece linen suitâ⬠conflicts with the ââ¬Å"red plastic blazersâ⬠. The use of vocabulary is effective in both poems. Some words, such as ââ¬Å"soarâ⬠, ââ¬Å"roarâ⬠and ââ¬Å"surgeâ⬠have double meanings: they are positive when they relate to his island, but have negative meanings in London. In ââ¬ËTwo Scavengersâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬â¢, descriptive words are used to highlight the differences between the people. For example, ââ¬Å"scavengersâ⬠are unworthy compared to ââ¬Å"an elegant coupleâ⬠. The poet uses this contrast to make a direct criticism of society and how it creates this division between rich and poor people. Phrases like ââ¬Å"small gulfâ⬠emphasise how these people may only be a few metres apart on the street, but, in terms of their lifestyles, they will never meet. Both poets show how the people feel in their different situations and give us their own view. ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢ obviously has fond memories of the Caribbean but resents his dull lifestyle in London. We can feel his depression as he ââ¬Å"heaves himselfâ⬠to ââ¬Å"Another London dayâ⬠. Grace Nichols has sympathy for this man as he feels the conflict of these two cultures. The feelings revealed in ââ¬ËTwo Scavengersâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬â¢ are very one-sided, as we have the envy of the poor, ââ¬Å"as if they were watching some odorless TV ad / in which everything is always possible,â⬠contrasting with the uncaring attitudes of the rich, who donââ¬â¢t even seem to notice the truck or its passengers. The poetââ¬â¢s attitude here is one of despair at this unequal society. ââ¬ËIsland Manââ¬â¢ has made me more aware how it might feel to be trapped in a foreign country, while ââ¬ËTwo Scavengersâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬â¢ starkly highlights the divisions in American society. The poems have made me hope that in the future, society will be more equal and that governments who promise equal opportunities for all will deliver on what they say.

Islands in the Stream (c1951) by Ernest Hemingway Ernest Hemingwayââ¬â¢s Islands in the Stream (c1951, 1970) was published posthumously and was expurgated by Hemingwayââ¬â¢s wife.à A note in the preface states that she removed certain portions of the book which she felt certain that Hemingway would have eliminated himself (which begs the question: Why did he include them in the first place?).à That aside, the story is interesting and is much like his later works, such as (1946-61, 1986).à Originally envisioned as a trilogy of three separate novels, the work was published as a single book separated into three parts, including ââ¬Å"Bimini,â⬠ââ¬Å"Cuba,â⬠and ââ¬Å"At Sea.â⬠à Each segment explores a different time period in the main characterââ¬â¢s life and also explores different aspects of his life and emotions.à There is one connecting thread throughout the three segments, which is family.à In the first section, ââ¬Å"Bimini,â⬠the main character is visited by his sons and lives with a close male friend.à Their relationship is incredibly interesting, especially considering the homosocial nature of it in contrast to the homophobic comments made by some of the characters. The idea of ââ¬Å"manly loveâ⬠is certainly a main focus in part one, but this gives way in the second two segments, which are more concerned with themes of grief/recovery and war. Thomas Hudson, the main character, and his good friend, Roger, are the best developed characters in the book, particularly in part one.à Hudson continues to develop throughout and his character is interesting to witness as he struggles to grieve the loss of his loved ones.à Hudsonââ¬â¢s sons, too, are delightful. In part two, ââ¬Å"Cuba,â⬠Hudsonââ¬â¢s true love becomes a part of the story and she, too, is interesting and very similar to the woman in Garden of Eden. There is much evidence to suggest that these two posthumous works might be his most autobiographical. The minor characters, such as the bartenders, Hudsonââ¬â¢s houseboys, and his comrades-in-arms in part three are all well-crafted and believable.à One difference between Islands in the Stream and Hemingwayââ¬â¢s other works is in its prose. It is still raw, but not quite so sparse as usual.à His descriptions are more flushed out, even somewhat tortured at times.à There is a moment in the book where Hudson is fishing with his sons, and it is described in such detail (similar to the style in Old Man and the Sea (1952), which was originally conceived as part of this trilogy) and with such deep emotion that a relatively lackadaisical sport like fishing becomes thrilling. There is a kind of magic Hemingway works with his words, his language, and his style. Hemingway is known for his ââ¬Å"masculineâ⬠prose ââ¬â his ability to tell a story without much emotion, without much sap, without any ââ¬Å"flowery nonsense.â⬠This leaves him, throughout most of his chronology, rather walled-off from his works.à In Islands in the Stream, however, as with Garden of Eden, we see Hemingway exposed. There is a sensitive, deeply troubled side to this man and the fact that these books were published only posthumously speaks volumes to his relationship with them.à Islands in the Stream is a delicate exploration of love, loss, family and friendship.à It is a deeply moving tale of a man, an artist, fighting to wake up and live every day, despite his haunting sadness.à Notable Quotes: Out of all the things you could not have there were some that you could have and one of those was to know when you were happy and to enjoy all of it while it was there and it was good (99).à He thought that on the ship he could come to some terms with his sorrow, not knowing, yet, that there are no terms to be made with sorrow. à It can be cured by death and it can be blunted or anesthetized by various things. Several years would be a reasonable period for option 2, and option 3 could be done in a matter of months. In companies like Tesco using outsourcing can benefit in many ways as this huge business colossus always needs innovation, using outsourcing provides fresh ideas for them and also can keep them focused on other parts of the business like promotion or marketing. As you study your way through using outsourcing you will have to keep in mind that there are advantages to outsourcing and disadvantages of outsourcing. Some of the disadvantages of outsourcing are the following: One disadvantage is loss of management Control .Whether you sign a contract to have another company perform the function of an entire department or single task, you are turning the management and control of that function over to another company. True, you will have a contract, but the managerial control will belong to another company. Your outsourcing company will not be driven by the same standards and mission that drives your company. They will be driven to make a profit from the services that they are providing to you and other businesses like yours. Another disadvantage is hidden costs .You will sign a contract with the outsourcing company that will cover the details of the service that they will be providing. Anything not covered in the contract will be the basis for you to pay additional charges. Additionally, you will experience legal fees to retain a lawyer to review the contacts you will sign. Remember, this is the outsourcing companys business. They have done this before and they are the ones that write the contract. Therefore, you will be at a disadvantage when negotiations start. Yet another drawback may be the threat of Security and confidentiality .The life-blood of any business is the information that keeps it running. If you have payroll, medical records or any other confidential information that will be transmitted to the outsourcing company, there is a risk that the confidentiality may be compromised. If the outsourced function involves sharing proprietary company data or knowledge, this must be taken into account. Evaluate the outsourcing company carefully to make sure your data is protected and the contract has a penalty clause if an incident occurs. One more disadvantage may be quality problems. The outsourcing company will be motivated by profit. Since the contract will fix the price, the only way for them to increase profit will be to decrease expenses. As long as they meet the conditions of the contract, you will pay. In addition, you will lose the ability to rapidly respond to changes in the business environment. The contract will be very specific and you will pay extra for changes. Another disadvantage is to be tied to the financial well-being of another company. Since you will be turning over part of the operations of your business to another company, you will now be tied to the financial well-being of that company. It wouldnt be the first time that an outsourcing company could go bankrupt and leave you holding-the-bag.
